Training & Certification

AutoStem NZ offer formal Training & Certification for the AutoStem 9mm and 17mm range of Non-Detonating Cartridges in a One Day Course.

Trainees will complete a half day of "Hands On" practical training and around 2 - 3 hours of theory training (open book) depending on the numbers of trainees involved.

Trainees must satisfy the trainer that they are competent in the safe use, storage, handling and transport of the product to gain certification. The trainer works with the trainees to ensure trainees understand what is being trained. The trainer also works with trainees as they work through the Theory Assessment.

This "One Day" training course is a pre-requisite to gaining certification for the Full Range of AutoStem Non-Detonating Cartridges (35mm, 43mm & 83mm sizes) once further skills and experience have been achieved.

The 9mm and 17mm size AutoStem Non-Detonating Cartridges offer trainees the ability to "pop" split free-standing rocks, fragment free-standing rocks, fragment and remove in-situ rock, loosen in-situ rock for fencing, remove in-situ rock outcrops, perform extremely controlled blasting in urban or sensitive areas. AutoStem can also be used in Rural areas, Underwater, Walking or Cycleway Tracks, Forestry Roads and anywhere Rock or Concrete needs to be removed safely.

AutoStem is not like conventional explosives where there is a very high risk of Mass Explosion, Unintended Detonation, Theft, Violent Fly-Rock, Air Burst, significant Ground Vibration and leaching of harmful Ammonium Nitrate into waterways.

The training day is generally a fun day of learning and getting to know the AutoStem product, how it works, why it's safe and how best to apply it to your situation.

There is a high requirement for Health & Safety at many of the sites we use so proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety controls will apply.
